Angie and Andrea have completed the initial survey report from 1056 completed questionnaires from international schools in 70 countries.
They have conducted 18 interviews by Skype which have been transcribed and anonymised.
The report is available here: WELLBEING IN INTERNATIONAL SCHOOLS: PERCEPTIONS OF TEACHERS AND LEADERS.
Further analysis is being conducted.
A paper on “Belonging in International Schools: Perceptions of Teachers and Leaders” has been submitted to a psychology peer reviewed journal. This paper explores the sense of belonging described in the results of our survey. It evaluates the impact of multiple transitions of staff and students on this sense of belonging.
We found significant differences in perceptions of teachers and those in leadership positions in some areas and so these are being explored in more detail… there is more to come!
